- jfengel 2mo agoThe Act is consistent with a legislative intent to target drag shows that are obscene for children, not drag shows writ large. True. But since drag shows that are "obscene for children" tend to be held late at night, in bars with alcohol, the act is also consistent with a legislative intent to harass every single person wearing a dress. The court's decision comes down to "it'll be fine, and if the police start shutting down drag reading hour, we'll think about it then". Except that justice delayed is justice denied, and they won't step in until innocent people have spent time in jail because of spite.
