curious why not integrate actual version control? Git or Fossil would seem ideal for managing changes in a book but the audience likely does not have the technical acumen to work with them easily. A client that can provide a strong abstraction but utilize the tool underneath would seem to have a lot of value-add.
- Wavesonics 2mo agoya thats exactly it. 2 reasons I went with my own syncing and versioning: I wanted it to be truly multiplatform, and I was targeting a much less technical audience. However! You absolutely could just git init in the project directory and manage it your self in git, since it's all just well behaving text files.
