We have machines that can read our thoughts and act on our slightest whims. How come these brilliant machines can’t figure out how to make a hospital stay not cost $60,000? Or build a car for less than $30,000? Or keep a megalomaniac from fooling enough people to seize power in a country of 300 million people?
