Couldn't agree more, and yet, attendance itself is a commerical product.
- bigfishrunning 2mo agoThe commercial product is the paper that says "University of Whatever says you learned Whatever". If the university loses credibility (by producing a bunch of people who cannot function without a chatbot) then the product is no longer valuable.
- GPerson 2mo agoLuckily for us all these good natured AI people will liberate us from the necessity of our own value and places like universities, which give us structured environments to participate in intellectual pursuits, will be in high demand.
- summarybot 2mo agoThis assumes every degree is valuable in the marketplace, which is simply not the case. The product is luxury attendance, the degree is secondary to that.
