OP folks in here are trying to give you legit advice and you're handwaving a lot of it. Listen to them. You're not the first nor the last person to have this idea. You can ignore all of the advice if you choose but I urge you to not ignore this one.
Hire a red team expert or service to scan your site and provide you with a report. Letting others upload content to your server is a minefield. Take the advice seriously.
It's a cool project. And I urge you to keep learning and making cool things.

Like people expect me to believe that there are triads of evil people out there sitting behind their green on black terminals who are creating pipelines in yaml that bring upon us the corruptions of hell. come on ...
- ghthor 3mo agoThis is 100% real; it’s why we can’t have nice things. It’s why email is a Sisyphean task to host yourself, spam spam, abuse, you name it, it is real and it will come for you.
- sigseg1v 3mo agoThey are completely real and the people posting in the comments are not lying or exaggerating. Why do you think sites that host images require tens of thousands of content moderators? It's not for fun, they would avoid it if they could. They are required to because law enforcement will shut them down.
