The Framebuffer People: I Cloned Every OS on r/osdev and Found Five Real Ones
- NooneAtAll3 2mo agoWhile I do feel Ai-ness of the text, and damn white-on-purple is hard to read... Text is very true making your own OS is first and foremost a toy for basically everyone involved, both coders and audience. Nobody takes it seriously or even knows much. It's kindergarden through and through and you're being angry at kids being kids and playing role of adults I'm disappointed but also not surprised that nobody writes drivers and basically nobody even exits QEMU onto a real hardware. Torwalds' quote about "nothing replacing Linux because writing drivers is hard" stays true
- seuros 2mo agoI do write drivers, it is pretty very hard. The only thing AI there is the image (for SEO), everything else i wrote it myself. As for the purple, i had this color before AI took over, it a space the themed, but i get your point, i will change it to black from now. Thanks.
- voidUpdate 2mo agoPutting a massive AI-generated image at the top of your article about how people are misusing AI is interesting
- seuros 2mo agoThe image is there for SEO and also to fill context window of people that can't read, before commenting.
