maybe my take on this is weird but spending more than 5-10 on entry is a sign it’s commercial and not really gonna be fun. the more informal the better. club goers from Londons legendary decades also describe going in for a fiver to the best parties. once the commercial interests step in, it’s a crowd of people spending to be where it’s cool to be. the cool is already elsewhere. we saw this happen in real time with Berghain over the past 5-8 years.
- inigyou 2mo agounless it's Berlin - then an entry fee of 10-30€ is fairly normal. 70-90€ would get you quite a few drinks though, at under 10€ each even with inflation. Personally I don't drink alcohol so I pay half as much as people who do.
