When we were children, we could ask anyone what a word meant without hesitation. I think this is a big difference when learning a second language.
English is my second language, and when I watch a movie or read a book, I often struggle with words I don’t know.
- Salim_wariz 2mo agoYes you're right, but even as babies, we were constantly exposed to our L1 in context. We saw things, touched them, felt them, and experienced them — those vivid experiences helped create strong associations that made words easier to recognise and retrieve naturally later.
- markmatsushima 2mo agoNattly is similar to a children’s book for learning L1. The colorful illustrations help me remember the words. I couldn’t find the Radio feature. Do you mean the “Play Whole Scene” button?
