Thanks for the response, I agree that exposure cannot be a replacement for grammar or active production — but it's about filling the input gap: children spend hundreds and eventually thousands of hours hearing language before they can construct sentences themselves.
the idea of the radio feature of "Nattly" is to give L2 learners more of that background exposure. The narrator can make the situation vivid and explain difficult words directly in L2. I agree it won't replace actual visual context —
the comics and visual flashcards features are there for that.
