'The Iranian regime is unpredictable, as seen by its recent decisions to attack areas in the region without warning or provocations ...hmmm...remind me again: who started this without warning of provocation?

- TaboZ 2mo agoare you real?
- WolfeReader 2mo ago"Thanks Obama" is sometimes used sarcastically by people who actually don't mind Obama, as a parody of how conservatives would blame literally anything on him. Too bad the above post didn't give enough context to say which sense they're using it.
- lokar 2mo agoIf not for that tan suit gas would be $1/gal and America would own Iran.

- bix6 2mo agoHey come on it was all Joe!!!
- wseqyrku 2mo agoWhere you were for the last 47 years? Turn on the news.
- slillibri 2mo agoHmm, what could have happened 47 years ago. Is that when the current islamist regime overthrew the dictator that the US & UK put into place by orchestrating a coup against the democratically elected government because they wanted to nationalize the oil industry? Seriously this 47 years ago BS needs to stop.
- wseqyrku 2mo agoI meant the entire time not 47 years ago sharp. You won't see what you're ignoring no matter how close it gets to you.
- spwa4 2mo agoStrange how this argument keeps getting made but the obvious implication is never put into question. After all, the revolution "succeeded". So, tell me, now that students and socialists and ... put mullahs in power, and "kept" this great oil wealth, surely they're wealthy now? Has the oil wealth benefited them, or just the mullahs? Oh wait ... Because, people don't seem very happy about the result of the "success" of the revolution. Not at all. They also seem desperately poor, even if relatively successful. Only the massacring mullahs they brought to power look rich at all. In fact now most people seem to wish that the evil oil companies would have won the revolution. Because, of course, they would have employed and helped the population. Take for example the iconic photo: https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!K5Yp!,w_1456,c_limit,f_webp,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F2656ab97-573e-4074-9aff-62dfb9012f00_827x640.jpeg https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!K5Yp!,w_1456,c_limit... Apparently the girl on the left was executed by the mullahs for protesting and the girl on the right was forced out of the country. Doesn't sound like this "overthrowing the dictator" was much of a success at all ...
- danbruc 2mo agoOhh, you mean when the CIA supported a coup d'état in Iran? No, sorry, that was 73 years ago. When the USA supported Iraq in attacking Iran including the use of chemical weapons in an 8 year long war? No, that was only 46 years ago. You mean when the Iranian people protested against their government and replaced the monarchy with a Islamic republic?
- rayiner 2mo ago“Without warning or provocation” lol.

- an0malous 2mo agoI do not support terrorism or genocide. Can you say the same?
- Rover222 2mo agoI don't support Israel's terrorism, nor Hamas's. Hamas is the only group in that conflict that consistently calls for genocide. If Israel wanted to commit genocide, they certainly could.
- throw1234567891 2mo agoIf the British didn’t make a mistake in 1948, there would be no need for any of this.

- g8oz 2mo agoGlad at least that you can understand America's aggression as being at Israel's behest. And that concerns over a nuclear weapon program were just a pretext.
- throw1234567891 2mo ago“The current round”.
