- habosa 14y agoCheck the FAQ. It's pixel by pixel comparison.
- Lerc 14y agoThe easy way the Average difference in pixel values. Slightly harder psnr. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peak_signal-to-noise_ratio http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peak_signal-to-noise_ratio Harder again... ssim http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Structural_similarity http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Structural_similarity There isn't any real solution to automating similarity as a human sees it. Humans are tricky.

- shmageggy 14y agoHe answers this on the FAQ linked at the top. http://rogeralsing.com/2008/12/09/genetic-programming-mona-lisa-faq/ http://rogeralsing.com/2008/12/09/genetic-programming-mona-l... He just loops over the whole image and does a pixel-by-pixel comparison, taking the difference between each of the R, G, and B channels and summing them all.
