Designing Icons
- xg15 3mo agoI think a better title would be "Designing Icons for Material Design". The guide comes over as very opinionated in places, which doesn't match all past or even contemporary uses of icons - but the guidelines make sense as part of Google's Material Design system.

- lukeify 3mo agoI can't say I'd ever consider "Material Design" to be an authority on what good iconography or website design should look like. It's always felt second-rate.

- vivzkestrel 3mo ago- am i the only guy that thinks material guy looks absolutely atrocious
- hulitu 2mo agoLook, they only have a 600 Mhz processor to emulate the look of Windows 2.0. /s
- richev 3mo agoSo bland. Call me nostalgic but I really miss the diversity (but consistency) of the Windows XP-era of icon design. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/ms997636(v=msdn.10)?redirectedfrom=MSDN https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/ms997636...
