Do you have experience heating and cooling or retreat business?
A few years ago my brother opened a bakery. It's more complicated than expected. As a tiny point, he bought the uncooked bread so he had to buy a special cart to carry the dough stick from the truck to the refrigerator. (It looks like a computer rack, but with space for the trays for the dough, and obviously wheels.) There are a lot of unexpected unexpected things.
Have you managed people? You probably will need like 2 or 3 employees, depending on what you do. It's another hard task that is overlocked if you never did it.
> I'm more interested in specific experience than predictions.
I'll ignore that. :)
I hope that we still have some time to use the technical expertise, hopefully at least until I retire. People make requirements that are too under specified even for AI, so a bigger part of the work will be to drink coffee with the client and translate it to a prompt. A historical timeline like
Assembler --> High level language (we are here) --> prompt --> ???
I guess your experience with the desktop product with thousands of users will be useful, but as you said it's important to not underestimate the marketing. My recommendation is to read whatever patio11 wrote about it. https://www.kalzumeus.com/greatest-hits/ https://www.kalzumeus.com/greatest-hits/

Anyway, I guess they will not get out of business for a loooooong time. Don't ask how many water pipes have my apartment building and why I know. Walls are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get.
