This is essentially the policy that everyone ought to be taking on code that is shared publicly, and hopefully more GPL users/projects will adopt a similar policy. This is the only real balance between not violating copyright, and allowing LLM usage. Shame that the kernel won't take this same approach, but at least I know GCC won't become full of illegally redistributed code...
