US cites 'unauthorized travel' to end DACA status for mother deported to Mexico
- LocalH 3mo agoIt wasn't "unauthorized" if it was at the direction of the federal fucking government. Treason for every single person who is doing this in our government and at their direction.
- elevation 3mo ago> treason While outrageous, these actions are almost certainly not treason.
- LocalH 3mo agoThat's arguable. Government officials working with third-parties to undermine Constitutional protections can be seen as (and is, in my opinion) attacking a state authority to which one owes allegiance (i.e., the Constitution, which is the highest authority in the nation). Maybe the Flock c-suite isn't guilty of treason (although I think that's still arguable, as a layman) but every government official that has enabled these systems to violate our rights? Absolutely.
