- sschueller 2mo agoIf you have more than 100 million in the bank you should be barred from using the internet...
- throwa356262 2mo agoGood idea, you got my vote! ... unfortunately I don't have a vote according to Tobi https://fortune.com/2026/07/27/shopify-ceo-voting-rights-stripping-americans-19th-century/ https://fortune.com/2026/07/27/shopify-ceo-voting-rights-str...
- whatsupdog 2mo agoCool, so no change? Even even a multi-billionaire usually doesn't have a 100 million lying in the bank (unless they sold some asset and are going to buy another soon).
- dewey 2mo agoI think you know yourself that the parent poster didn't mean literally coins in a bank vault like Scrooge McDuck.
- whatsupdog 2mo agoHe/she literally said "more than 100 million in the bank". Care to explain what that means other than bank balance in a checking/saving account?
- dewey 2mo agoTranslate it to “they are very rich”.
- shrubby 2mo agoI was just saying yesterday that we (Finland) could take the bullet and create a luxury resort for all the zillionaires in the world. Connect them with each other and populate their air-gapped "Internet" with like-minded authoritarian AI-bots and create special news like Don and Vladimir are being fed to keep them from tantrums. A win win for everyone! Ooh, and mental health services. Plenty of mental health services as we're so poor of a race that even our richest can't afford enough therapy to feel alright!
- ColdStream 2mo agoZillionaire Matrix, would make a good comedy or horror film.
- amazingamazing 2mo agoWhat does this have to do with age verification?
- deltoidmaximus 2mo agoWe've already decided to do verification of users, now we can look into which groups of users should be limited or barred entirely.
- xinayder 2mo agoThe billionaires are pushing for identifying kids online for whatever reason, saying it's to "protect the kids" when we don't need Orwellian-level of surveillance. We should counteract this by forbidding internet access to billionaires, or restricting it so much, so they can stop playing with something they don't understand.

- zx8080 2mo agoSo that they make decisions even more disconnected from reality than now? Sure, why not, that does not harm. Cannot be much worse anyway.
