It’s also a terrible experience. Pixelated. Laggy. Can’t see where the keyboard is… it’s half baked.
I can work max one hour then I give up.
- t-writescode 2mo agoWeirdly, the experience with Virtual Desktop on the Quest 3 is fast, high resolution, clean, and all that wireless on WiFi 7.
- seviu 2mo agoThe resolution but specially the pass through is what kills it for me. Fix those and I am a buyer, at any price.
- t-writescode 2mo agoYeah, passthrough is pretty icky, for sure. I just take the headset off. It’s not good enough for passthrough.
- sleepybrett 2mo agoi think the q3 and the avp have similar pixel density
- nullishdomain 2mo agoThe Apple Vision Pro has something like 23 million total pixels vs Quest 3 at 9.1 million total pixels. It's a pretty big difference.
- KaiserPro 2mo agoThe optics for the avp are noticably softer than quest3 https://kguttag.com/2024/03/01/apple-vision-pros-optics-blurrier-lower-contrast-than-meta-quest-3/ https://kguttag.com/2024/03/01/apple-vision-pros-optics-blur... so the screen resolution might be higher, the effective resolution is not so much. The quest feels sharper for a lot of things. Apart from the rgb camera. Either way, for me, they are both too lower resolution for useful text work. I can see the pixels and the size of the font I want starts to fall below the effective reolution. I realise that this is not the case for a lot of people though
