TEDx has almost completely ruined TED for me. I don't trust that they care about quality any more, and there is far too much dumb self-promotion. It's a low quality source of knowledge and there are better curators around. This is a shame, when it first started I could tell they were connecting me with innovative thinkers, and not those blindly trying to earn a quick buck.
