eBay agrees $56M settlement with bloggers over harassment case
- krystalgamer 2mo agoThis case is beyond the typical harassment/cyber-stalking. CEO was obsessed with destroying the couple and the person he put in charge (James Baugh) had multiple law enforcement connections. - evgen 2mo agoThere is also a good Behind the Bastards episode about this case. Truly bizarre obsession on the part of the CEO and a completely off the rails security org doing his bidding.
- Planktonne 2mo agoGood. With that said, the CEO has mostly escaped responsibility unfairly.
- angoragoats 2mo agoAgreed. Devin Wenig (the aforementioned CEO) is a thug and criminal who should be in prison. His statements about this incident are laughable; he claimed in a statement recently that the harassment of the couple was “deliberately done in secret and without my knowledge.” Yet the emails/texts made public as part of the case show him making statements like “take her down… do whatever it takes.”[0] Absolute scum of the earth. I still have some hope that he’ll be charged criminally, given the renewed publicity this case is getting.
