Have any books you’d recommend I check out?
- ungreased0675 2mo agoGiven your list, I think you’d enjoy: Flying Through Midnight by John Halliday - Half war story, part philosophy, very engaging story. Not your typical Vietnam War book. Ninety Percent of Everything by Rose George - A glimpse into a very important industry, commercial shipping, that we all rely on but probably know little about. Sparks by Ian Johnson - China’s underground historians try to preserve their past, not just the government approved version. Toussaint Louvertire by Philippe Girard - I read this because I wanted to learn more about Haiti. It’s an interesting story about a guy who was a slave, freedom fighter, slave owner, and leader of a country.
