Neither group pretends they're a native app. The web has fundamental idioms that people have gotten used to for thirty five years. If it takes you to another page and it's not submitting a form, you should be able to treat it the same everywhere. If I'm in figma, I'm smart enough to know what looks like something that'll navigate the browser. You don't need a new element to accomplish the same action.
