- epolanski 2mo agoThe Samsung Galaxy S (the top range) sells between 25 to 35 million units per year. Sure, it's not iPhones number, which are around 8 to 9 times higher but Samsung has to compete in a huge Android ecosystem, whereas the iOS one has only one offering series per year. The Galaxy S has always been a very solid product line.
- satvikpendem 2mo agoThat was not their claim. Those with iPhones will continue to buy iPhones while most Galaxy users have always been Android users.
- aeturnum 2mo agoI think both ecosystems most often have people switching when the other side has something new. I suspect this foldable is coming in under the expected price of the new iPhone fold and is there to make sure people have a flagship-priced option if they get foldable mania. Very few of these products are trying to steal people away (the rare exceptions might be the previous gen high-end foldable phones that are android-only so far).
