Waymo Is Racking Up Thousands of Dollars of Parking Fines in Austin

• no-name-here 3mo ago
Paywalled but it says $9k fines over 2 years. Basic ticket is $75 so that would be ~6 tickets/mo. They seem to have >300 cars there so ~1 ticket per vehicle every 4-5 years. Personally feels like a bit small scale, especially as I’ve heard of UPS vehicles sometimes getting multiple tickets per day in a city, albeit different purposes/needs. (Napkin math.)
