- indiangenz 3mo agoIt hardly ever the other way around. Its no secret that Islamists are responsible for most of the terror attacks in Germany and Europe, and here you are justifying terrorists. There is a reason why China does what it does ;-)
- khaledh 3mo agoThat's factually false. US CSIS data says attacks by non-Islamists account for 85% of total attacks, while attacks by Islamists is just 15%. In Europe, Europol TE-SAT data says it's 59% by non-Islamists vs. 41% by Islamists. Also, I'm not justifying this attack. I'm pointing out the double-standards.
- GenerocUsername 3mo agoNow do per capita and see that their rate of terror is 10x what it should be. (And that's before readjusting for the undercategorized events being purposefully NOT counted for cultural sympethies)
- x3ro 3mo agoThere is an additional aspect to these statistics. Eg a guy set fire to a house last year in Germany, killing four people of turkish descent. They found plenty of nazi paraphernalia in his house, but it was concluded that there was no “right-wing extremist motivation”. So there is a big question of skewed statistics underpinning all of these discussions.
- throwawaypath 3mo ago>US CSIS data says attacks by non-Islamists account for 85% of total attacks, while attacks by Islamists is just 15%. "What is per capita?"

- inigyou 3mo agoYou think Germany should send all its Muslims to re-education camps?
- ImJamal 3mo agoThere are plenty of Islamic terrorist attacks not referred to as terrorism by the media. The 2009 Fort Hood attack and the 2015 Chattanooga shooting are good examples.

- GenerocUsername 3mo agoLack of incentive? How about their religion commands it? And that's why it is specifically categorized as Islamic terror rather than generic terror.
- vcryan 3mo agoWell, except for the part where the religion forbids it.

- sajithdilshan 3mo ago> First off, the headline is being heavily editorialized here, rather than using the headline from the article: "Germany classifies Berlin Pride ramming as 'terror attack'" Title is not edited. The German interior minister has announced it as an Islamist terror attack. https://x.com/dw_politics/status/2081381153773097041 https://x.com/dw_politics/status/2081381153773097041

- sajithdilshan 3mo agoNope, it's a live page. DW keeps on changing the title. Also how is it Gaslighting? the fact remains the same.
- GenerocUsername 3mo agoYou do better and stop deflecting direct attributable harm as something to hide and cover up to prevent indirect harm.
- bfffatjb 3mo ago[flagged]
- sajithdilshan 3mo agode-escalation doesn't change the facts. It was announced as an islamist terrorist attack as of now and it would still be an islamist terrorist attack even after 10 days.

- jst1fthsdys 3mo agoGood to know the murder rate was zero before these dirty migrants showed up.
- throwawaypath 3mo agoGood to know the murder rate is increasing once these dirty migrants show up.
- jenadine 3mo ago(the attacker was German, born in Germany)

- throwawaypath 3mo agoMy flagged post above: "Well, well, well, if it isn't the consequences of my own actions." LGBTQ+ Germans are among the strongest supporters of importing millions of MENA migrants to Europe. They voted for this. >the attacker was German False, he was a Muslim Lebanese German citizen. >born in Germany Rats born in a horse stable are not horses. Yesterday's refugees are today's peace truck drivers.

- sajithdilshan 3mo agoWhere is the source? Or you just made it up?
- lopis 3mo agoThere's almost no basis of truth in that comment, let alone sources. Germany does not have "overseas territories", so not sure what they mean by that. There's nothing of the like happening within Germany either. Germany has a multi-generation muslim population, so purging them would mean purging Germans. CSD is disruptive, yes, as are marathons and several demos and parades every year. In fact, Berlin CSD crosses mostly the Tiergarten where there are no buildings. But no matter how car-brained Germany is, no such event has been attacked by disgruntled drivers.
