You... wouldn't just code yourself if they were down?
- vidarh 2mo agoNo more than when they are up, no. Why would I? I can produce far more by having tasks running in the background while I do other work.
- danielbln 2mo agoIf my laptop breaks I'm not going back to pen and paper, I'm buying a new/different laptop.
- ShinyLeftPad 2mo agoWouldn't know how
- vidarh 2mo agoI have programmed since I was 5, so 46 years now. I have no problem doing it, and still do. I however wouldn't waste my time only coding by hand when an LLM can do it far faster.
- ShinyLeftPad 2mo agoNobody said "only by hand", you moved the goalpost. If you don't practice it you lose the skill.
- vidarh 2mo agoI have not moved any goal posts. You made unwarranted and frankly grossly rude assumptions.
- ShinyLeftPad 2mo agoSo you think if you don't practice you don't lose the ability, that's fine
- vidarh 2mo agoNo, you wrongly assume I wrote no code, and chose to be rude and insulting about it.
- ShinyLeftPad 2mo agoWrongly assume when you said it... Reread your answers, it seems pretty clear you don't write by hand?
