You can just take the other offer while you wait and then quit when the one you really want comes in.
- chrismarlow9 3mo agoAgreed and I would offer this advice to any junior struggling with the morality of the situation. I had a few reality checks to learn about larger companies and business in general.
- paulcole 3mo agoYep, nobody's ever going to care more about you than you, triply so at work.
- lkramer 3mo agoI did that, and had to take a bollocking from the HR guy at the company I took the first offer from, but I don't regret it.
- johnnyanmac 3mo agoDog eat dog world these days, and the employers broke the contract first. I'm sure they've had to reneg, ghost, or cancel interviewees. That kind of system begets more betrayal.
- paulcole 3mo agoDepending on how long I'd been there, I would just do it over email/in-writing even if it was an office job.
