How is it anything like that? The governor deliberately made the details very public and explained the cause and scope of the error clearly.

TFA states the governor said she had learned about the improper registrations “last week", hardly time for her to do any investigation or make "details very public" as you say she did. And certainly the article speaks of no one with police investigative powers following up to see what happened and report to the legislature, police or executive branch. . Mikie Sherrill is a Democratic party governor in a completely Democratic party-dominated state well-known for a history of corruption.
