Listened to both — great stuff. I hadn't thought about it before, but 4 oscillators covers a lot: the entire Art of Fugue is 4 voices or fewer, as is most of the WTC. A pleasant coincidence between a drum machine's polyphony limit and the practical ceiling of fugal writing. The detuning grew on me over the course of the second video.
