Fractl.art – a fractal generator with 8 octillion different patterns
- gilded-lilly 2mo agoIf you watched one per second, you would need to watch for 235 quintillion years before seeing them all, and 3.5 million years before seeing the same one twice.
- glimshe 2mo agoIf I decided that doing it was a good use of my time, would it be guaranteed that after said period I'd actually watch them all?

- troygentic 2mo agoHopefully, one day we can replicate psychedelic visuals digitally.
- ViscountPenguin 2mo agoI've not taken psychedelics, but presumebly a large part of the experience comes from the fact that your brain is creating the imagery, which would make it qualitatively different from imagery that your brain is having supplied to it. It might not be meaningfully possible to replicate psychedlic visuals.
- ddmf 2mo agoI think early deepdream was quite close, where you see artifacts around the image and lots and lots of dogs because of the amount of training images being pet pics - perhaps it's just the way I hallucinate on lsd - perhaps it shows how the brain actually renders the world inside our heads.
- onion2k 2mo agoMy Product Manager: "Ok, but we can deliver the MVP of one fractal in an octillionth of the time, right? I've already promised the stakeholders."
- Jazgot 2mo agoI wish I could stop the generation without having to press the pause button while trying to catch the finished fractal. There should be an option to disable looping and let it finish automatically after a configurable number of steps.EDIT grammar
