It's only natural that older generations, having been part of society for longer, hold more dominant positions. I had to look up a paper on this to be sure, so I've referenced Wikipedia to find some research on the topic.[1][2]
Fundamentally, the aging of political leaders is a global issue. In reality, the average age of parliament members is higher than the average age of voters, and the overrepresentation of middle-aged to elderly men is a clear trend.
This is inevitable to some extent, because politics requires mobilizing campaign support, which costs a significant amount of money

- jdw64 3mo ago"Abstract Middle-aged to senior men of the ethnic majority and higher income groups are generally overrepresented in parliaments."
- oliculipolicula 3mo ago"In our sample of around one hundred countries the mean age in the voting population is 43.6 years ... This is in contrast to the age distribution among parliamentarians in our data set, with a mean age of 50.2 years." [Not just being fair here] Palantir are now embracing "fully on-prem" deployments.. Question is whether this move is the sufficient seed of sophistication. enough to cause their own downfall from internal contradictions (Slightly tangentially- I've noted that Palantir's own manifesto seemed to have reworded Dao De Jing 31)
- jdw64 3mo agoI hope you've been doing well. It's hot these days—take care of yourself. I haven't seen you on HN lately—have you been busy over the past few weeks? I've just been getting by with a few small gigs. Anyway, I also agree with this comment. To build real anger, you need sophistication. Have a good day.
