Beaver who escaped to find mate welcomes first kit
- worik 3mo agoWe need more news like this. Congratulations Steve and Doris
- jvilalta 3mo agoYes!
- rurban 3mo agoIs Wales really writing kids as kit? Happens 3 times in the article
- 1659447091 3mo agoA baby beaver is called a `kit`
- Milner08 3mo agoAs the other commenter said, Kit is the name of a baby Beaver. The welsh for child is plentyn, if you were interested.
- rurban 3mo agohttps://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/plentyn https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/plentyn from plant (singular)! Now that's also interesting!
- happytoexplain 3mo agoTo expand on the other replies, here is a list of animals whose young are called "kits": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kit#Animals https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kit#Animals
- ohyoutravel 3mo agoFive times in the article! One additional in title. One more in a caption. Seven mentions! I know a baby barber is called a kit, but this is ridiculous! Funny note: Kits are born fully developed. They’re basically like little copies of their parents. Very cute.
- uncivilized 3mo agoPeople don’t read past the headline anymore unfortunately
