Show HN: Crux, a personal AI on your computer you can reach from anywhere

- yako21000 3mo agoI like the example but I don't have just excel files lying around of my spendings... But what AI is used? Local? Paid? Bring your own key?
- parker-nyx 3mo agoIt’s not limited to Excel or spending data. You can use it for coding, research, working with files, managing emails and calendars, automating tasks, and much more. For the AI, you can use local models through Ollama, bring your own API key from OpenAI, Claude, or other providers, or use the free models available inside the app.
- tsxng44 3mo agoVery interesting, I'm curious to see how, as this project develops, distinguishes itself from other applications such as OpenClaw. Looks very professional and promising!

- ronak_parmar 3mo agoGreat efforts man, can I know the stack and methods of building it as well as the website
- parker-nyx 3mo agoThanks! The landing page is Next.js with Tailwind. As for Crux itself, we're currently building on the opencode harness, and down the line we want to write our own so we can shape it around the goals we've set for the product. Would genuinely love it if you gave the app a try and told us how it holds up for you. If you run into any issues, let us know, that kind of feedback would mean a lot in making Crux better.
