It’s a neat idea - generally with these ideas it’s difficult to grow because outside of your core passionate audience, the reason peoel would care about this is money - and this type of extension would not return enough $ to the user for them to tell friends about it and recommend it. So you have a capped audience.
- jezzwar 3mo agoI don’t think this would spread widely through organic growth alone, but it would still be great if it did. It would probably need a strong growth moment to really take off. In developed markets it could become a low-cost channel for promoting digital products. For people in lower-income markets, it could be a nice extra income stream that helps cover a few subscriptions or small expenses. The main thing is to make sure it doesn’t become exploitative or overwhelming.
