Count Binface went to Oxbridge apparently, so if he gets in, he'll still be part of the establishment. Not really sure he's any wiser about working class life than Nigel Farage (being part of the Galactic aristocracy doesn't help much either.)
However, I did like his suggestions to build at least one affordable home and rename HS2, the FFS1.
- fakedang 3mo agoI mean better Oxbridge than being just a high-school graduate like Farage is, who got his first job as a trader thanks to daddy's connections in the City.
- nephihaha 3mo agoEntry to Oxford and Cambridge Universities is by interview, which is the part people forget. Yes, some bright people do go there, but they take a disproportionate amount of private school children. I wouldn't be surprised if Binface went to boarding school like Farage did. Oxbridge is as much a part of the establishment as Eton and Westminster School. Very few people go to these places yet they are overrepresented in the political classes.
- fakedang 3mo agoBut you have to pass the interview! Doubt poncey Farage could've done that, else he would have. Or maybe the interviewer was confused on how to pronounce his surname - is it pronounced "Faraajh" like a pretentious Frenchman, or "Farridge".
- gpderetta 3mo agodamage control in full swing already?
- nephihaha 3mo agoI'm not exactly a Farage supporter. LOL. Never voted UKIP or Reform, but did vote remain. But yeah, Count Binface wouldn't exactly survive five minutes on a council estate. So Dulwich boy vs Oxbridge Boy. For Americans...One went to an exclusive private high school and the other went to an exclusive university. Binface is fond of quoting Latin phrases which puts him into Boris Johnson territory, and is a posh boy's trait.
