I've only had my Android phone for about a month, but I love it. I do NOT check it often during the day, but it is a great combination of phone, portable entertainment center, quick-check (and delete) of email, nano-utility-computer, good-enough camera (finally, in a phone), and hot spot. Yeah, for actual work I still use a full size computer, but the hot spot feature comes in handy when I'm out of the house or office.
