I never thought about using Google Apps like this. It actually sounds pretty cool to be honest. If my whole family was using it, then I'd probably consider paying $50/year for the service.
- mcherm 14y agoBut would you pay $50/family-member? (Which is presumably a significantly bigger amount of money.)
- brewdad 14y agoExactly. I am in the same boat. I set up the family with individual, personalized addresses and a series of calendars that can be shared between all of us or just my wife and I. It's convenient, but not $200+/yr convenient. For now, nothing changes but I guess it's time to start looking around for a cheaper alternative should Google decide to kill off the free tier altogether.
- duckworth 14y agoYeah, Same situation here. Set up my family and one for my in-laws, and a few others. Not worth $50 a month per family member.
- mokash 14y agoOh yeah, I completely forgot that it was $50/year/person. It would have been nice to have an option for $50/year for an account equivalent to the free version that they're taking away.
