The solution is simple : don’t use LinkedIn :) I only use it when looking for a job and I never look at the “feed” (what’s that for anyway?)

- throw1234567891 3mo agoI get more useful and up-to-date info from LinkedIn than from here.
- Forgeties79 3mo agoLinkedIn is this constant networking event where everyone is looking for their next opportunity. It just feels gross to participate in it. Especially now that the only thing people do is talk about AI or use AI to talk about AI on their behalf.
- throw1234567891 3mo agoAnd here it’s a constant flex with limited ability to participate in a discussion due to non-transparent posting quotas.

- Forgeties79 3mo agoI mean how much do you really need to post here? I hit the limit occasionally but the forced slow down after a few comments seems rather wise to me. Helps people cool off for starters. Feel free to go hang out on LinkedIn my dude. No one’s forcing you to tolerate comment limits here!
- throw1234567891 3mo agoYou never take part in multiple discussions? 10 minutes to cool off would be acceptable. Hours? No. It’s impossible to hold a conversation here. The measure has nothing to do with cooling off. It’s a simple anti-llm-spam measure.
- Forgeties79 3mo agoThese policies existed years before LLM spam.
- tuvix 3mo agoNot sure who you’re following on LinkedIn but this is most assuredly not the case for me or anyone I know
- john_strinlai 3mo agoup-to-date info on what sorts of topics?
- throw1234567891 3mo agoOn every subject that isn’t “rewritten in Rust”.
