Like: Apple Watch, most models of iPads, Pro model of phones, etc.
Because without this deal, Apple would have had to transition all products by end-of-year.
- pwarner 3mo agoThis sounds like specialized analog components. Not the modem.
- klausa 3mo agoThe modems are made by _Qual_comm, not Broadcom. Different company.
- philistine 3mo agoApple now designs its own modems, and its TSMC that fabs them. OP is asking if Broadcom might start fabbing those modems. This is not the case here, but you seem to ignore the fact Apple is a modem designer now.
- klausa 3mo agoNo; the person I replied to line about "having to transition these by the end of the year" was a reference to a fact that Apple's publicly announced deal with Qualcomm expires this year/early next year.
