He was also running against an incumbent.
- jlgreco 14y agoOf course McCain was running after 8 years of Bush. Even ignoring the Bushiness of Bush, running for a party that just had 2 terms is a disadvantage. I am not sure what to make of McCain getting more votes than Romney, but I think it is telling. Telling of what? Beats me.
