US home battery installations hit record high on rising electricity costs
- mmmlinux 4mo agoHow long till you start getting taxed on how much electrical storage capacity you have at your house?
- wjnc 4mo agoWhat they can’t see, they can’t tax. Window taxes and resulting changes in architecture are a nice historic example.
- warmwaffles 4mo agoThey'll make it a requirement for building codes to have it on file when you installed them. Just like septic systems all being transitioned to aerobic systems. Then it'll be on file in the county and they'll tax you on the capacity.
- QQ00 4mo agoI heard the news about some people who were feeding the grid with their excess electricity their solar panels generate got a charged instead of credit. So taxes on this is not far-fetched idea.
- jerlam 4mo agoOlder energy meters don't track the difference between incoming and outgoing energy, so backfeeding the grid just looks like more usage. I do doubt the importance of utilities paying people for generating power at peak solar generation times.
