Does this amazing new fork of a fork have colored hiking trails as this "dying" Organic Maps?
I know the answer, tried both, I will let myself out...
- eisa01 3mo agoNo, because that part of OM is closed source, one of the main reasons for the fork! It’s coming though: https://codeberg.org/comaps/comaps/pulls/4111 https://codeberg.org/comaps/comaps/pulls/4111
- h4kunamata 3mo agoIt is already implemented and it works like a charm. I have been using it to explore trails and 4WD tracks, just enabled it on the map at the top left corner. You will see Outdoors which enables the trails/4WD tracks, Contour Lines and Subway.
- pastk 3mo agoDisplay of marked hiking/cycling routes is a different feature from display of trails and tracks. I.e. a marked route is usually a well-known and/or official one and often quite long (sometimes international even) route which goes through many different trails and tracks and even some roads etc. And - as it had been mentioned above already - its coming to CoMaps too.
- h4kunamata 3mo agoYes, CoMaps has it and I used it this weekend. Trails and 4WD tracks have a distinctive colour semi-continue lines. I am using exactly that to discover new places and it has been awesome.
