Ask HN: How to delete Hacker News profile?

- downbad_ 3mo agoI don't believe you can delete your profile, they'd just change your username to something else. Your comments remain forever.
- Bender 3mo agoFrom the FAQ: Can I delete my account? We try not to delete entire account histories because that would gut the threads the account had participated in. However, we care about protecting individual users and take care of privacy requests every day, so if we can help, please email hn@ycombinator.com. - beardyw 3mo agoWell yes, otherwise they would have to delete my humourous though also amazingly insightful replies. The future would thank no one for that.
