  First sentence on https://c9x.me/compile/ https://c9x.me/compile/: "QBE is a compiler backend that aims to provide 70% of the performance of industrial optimizing compilers in 10% of the code." That doesn't sound like QBE wants to compete with LLVM when it comes to optimizations.
