There needs to be a law that bans the use, sale, and licensing of user data for market research, advertising, and data brokerage in general. Cut the problem off at the source and make the data worthless.
Google and Meta would collapse. I’m fine with that collateral damage.

- al_borland 4mo agoWhy would Apple’s business collapse over legislation like that? Their core business model is around selling products and services, not data collection for targeted advertising.
- iririririr 4mo agoif they have to expose how much data they collect and sell for ads, even you wouldn't fall for their iphone-are-more-private marketing campaigns.
