Paris to ban drinking alcohol in public as hospitals hit heatwave breaking point
- nephihaha 4mo agoWhat a weird contrived way of dealing with the issue. Reminds me of lockdown. If you're getting rat arsed in an outdoor bar area, that's legal, but if you're fifty metres away on a public bench swigging a small bottle of lager and almost completely sober, that's illegal.
- giorgioz 4mo agoThe article doesn't even try to explain the correlation between the heat-wave and the public alcohol drinking. Are there a lot people hospitalized because of drinking alcohol? It could be so but it would have been nice to mention numbers and clearly state medical facts about alcohol rather than just using it as clickbait title.
- nephihaha 4mo agoIt is their way of dealing with the heat. I would like to see how many people died of heat exhaustion due to drink. I suspect age and weight may have been bigger contributing factors. (I don't drink alcohol so I don't have a dog in this fight.)
