I like how “Update” has become corporate PR's favorite weasel word for headlines bearing bad news.

  If it was reductions they'd tell you so in the title. If they aren't doing that it's because they're trying to avoid giving you the bad news for as long as possible.

Hate how nowhere on that page does it say what the price will be. I guess they don't want the full price in the announcement...

  Go add the announced price increase to whatever price you find on BestBuy.com? I take your point, but I hardly find it onerous to figure out the new price.

Woof. Microsoft pre-announced a bunch of layoffs in the gaming division next month. Also had a disastrous price increase in Xbox Live membership followed by a large number of cancelled subscriptions. Clearly more expensive hardware will bolster the financials.
