Why won't it be compatible? Any code written in Lua 5.1 will run on LuaJIT.

- orthoxerox 4mo agoLuaJIT has always been a superset of 5.1.
- matheusmoreira 4mo agoWhich is why it should be a new language. Like C and C++.
