Digital wouldn't be so bad if you actually owned it - first sale doctrine, easy resale/transfer, etc.
Though I'm sure game publishers would just switch to token online features to prevent resale.
- Ferret7446 4mo agoMaybe this is finally an opportunity for the blockchain? Put licenses on the blockchain to allow decentralized sale. Why blockchain? Because the alternative is either a monopoly managing a central database or a government run central database, neither of which sounds appealing. Or have multiple different license registration providers, which also doesn't sound very appealing. And what happens if said company goes bankrupt?
