Well put. The step to AI is a little like the step to using an IDE. It simplifies and automate a various bottlenecks. But when the IDE starts randomly failing, you need to call on that guy that knows how to work without the IDE.
- acestus5 4mo agowhich IDE are you using that randomly fails?
- n4r9 4mo agoVisual Studio Professional/Enterprise. It's gotten a lot better to be fair - especially with the dotnet sdk - but back in the day I'd often have to get myself out of scrapes by manually editing .sln files, deleting bin or Properties directories etc..., restarting the VS and hoping for the best. And sometimes just nothing worked and I'd end up pinging the only guy in the company that knows how to solve those types of issues, because he knows what the IDE is actually doing under the covers. I still get issues like hanging while running unit tests, repeatedly having to enter credentials for my office's nuget feed, and a bunch of other stuff that sometimes needs a full reboot.
