I use Emacs to do some basic audio/video editing. https://github.com/sachac/subed-record https://github.com/sachac/subed-record I can cut, rearrange, or mute audio using subtitles or timespans. I can combine the audio with images and videos, and I can crop or redact the visuals. Works well enough for my basic needs.
